Being a small creative business owner isn’t easy. We have to be versatile, and wear a lot of hats. Even though social media and the internet at large can feel daunting, it is, alas, the sea in which we must float, and the best thing we can do for ourselves is learn to swim so we aren’t lost in the tide.

I have been learning how to manage social media marketing and small business development the hard way for the last 10 years, and I want to share my expertise with the folks who need it, so they don’t have to learn it the hard way too! I am a creative person with an artistic mind, but I love a challenge and learning new things, so tackling the madness of new social media apps and ever changing algorithms, though often daunting, makes me feel alive!

Over the last three years I went from 2000 to 11.7k on Instagram, and went from 0 to 44.1 k on Tiktok. I am now beginning my Youtube journey and seeing steady growth there as well.

Video content is the name of the game now, on all platforms, and I can help you find a format that works for you, give you a foundation in some algorithmic principles and either teach you to edit and post your own work, or edit and post for you. My greatest skill is in demystifying the process and working with you to find a strategy that is tailored to your particular strengths and requirements.

I won’t spout jargon at you or try to make you do things in a way that feels unnatural. I am all about finding ways to tailor the process to your needs as much as possible. I am very comfortable working with neurodivergent folks and am great at finding different ways to approach things until we find the right solution.

I am an unusual person and I like working with unusual people, so don’t be worried about being weird, there’s a place for everyone online. You just have to find your niche. Social Media Support

This can take a few different forms. I can spend some time familiarizing you with the various platforms, including Instagram, Patreon, Youtube, Tiktok and Facebook. Then I can help you choose where to focus your energy and help you strategize what form your content creation will take. I can teach you to make and edit your own videos and posts or, do it for you. The cost for this is billed hourly. Our first 2 hours are $80 an hour and after that it drops to $60 an hour plus any applicable taxes.

Apps that I currently run for myself include, Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, Etsy, Tiktok and Patreon. I was also responsible for managing social media for Jewel Envy between June 2022 and April 2023 and recently began helping Julie Simmons with her online presence on Instagram and Youtube.

Website creation

This service starts at $600 plus any applicable taxes, (not including hosting fees) It can go up from there depending on the complexity of the website you require.

I can build you a website with Squarespace, and teach you how to manage and edit it yourself. You won’t be dependant on a “tech guy,” or have to spend a lot of money each time you need a change. Some websites I have worked on include, this one, Handmade Revolution, as well as - Julie Simmons Astrology , Amici Armis, and Boarstooth Squarespace offers a wide range of options in terms of aesthetic and functionality so it’s a great hosting platform with a lot of versatility.

General advice

After many years of running my own small business I know a bit about everything. Etsy, charging HST, how Canva works. How to use photoshop, and other graphic design skills, how to plan your pricing and a lot more. I can get you comfortable with a lot of the tools you need to run a small business, help you avoid wasting time, and help point you in the right direction when a subject is outside my expertise.

This is billed the same way as my social media work, with the first two hours costing $80 and dropping to $60 after that plus any applicable taxes.
